EDUCATION SECRETARIES DISCUSS THE UAPS IN TAIPEI

From May 14 to 18, 2019, the Jesuit Education Secretaries flew into Taipei for their annual meeting.

This year the meeting was focused on: (a) the global event being hosted by Indonesia next year, the II COLLOQUIUM JESEDU JOGJA 2020, where about 500 leaders of Jesuit schools from around the world are expected to congregate in Jogjakarta, Indonesia, and (b) the concrete ways in which the recently announced Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society of Jesus can be promoted by our schools.

2020 GATHERING OF THE GLOBAL NETWORK OF JESUIT SCHOOLS

From 29 June to 4 July next year in 2020, almost 500 delegates from the global network of Jesuit schools are expected to fly to Indonesia’s cultural capital, the ancient city of Jogjakarta, for the II Colloquium JESEDU-Jogja2020. The international colloquium is only the second of its kind, to be held eight years later after the very first International Colloquium of Jesuit Secondary Schools held in Boston College from July 29 to August 2 of 2012.

Coming up: PRINCIPLE + FOUNDATION OF JESUIT EDUCATION (15 to 21 September 2019 in Cebu, Philippines)

We are happy to announce that registration is now open for our next JCAP workshop brought to you by the IGNATIAN INITIATIVE FOR TEACHER EXCELLENCE (IGNITE) and the ATENEO DE MANILA INSTITUTE FOR THE SCIENCE AND ART OF LEARNING AND TEACHING (SALT).

The workshop is called “The Principle and Foundation of Jesuit Education,” and will be held from September 15 (Sunday) to 21 (Saturday), 2019 at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines. Note: Participants are expected to arrive no later than 5 pm on Sunday (9/15), and may leave to return home anytime in the morning of Saturday (9/21).
