We are happy to announce that registration is now open for our next JCAP workshop brought to you by the IGNATIAN INITIATIVE FOR TEACHER EXCELLENCE (IGNITE) and the ATENEO DE MANILA INSTITUTE FOR THE SCIENCE AND ART OF LEARNING AND TEACHING (SALT).

The workshop is called “The Principle and Foundation of Jesuit Education,” and will be held from September 15 (Sunday) to 21 (Saturday), 2019 at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines. Note: Participants are expected to arrive no later than 5 pm on Sunday (9/15), and may leave to return home anytime in the morning of Saturday (9/21).

Jesuit schools around the world promote the so-called 4 Cs of Human Excellence: Competence, Conscience, Compassion, and Commitment.

Suitable for teachers as well as non-teaching staff and administrators, this workshop offers an introductory overview of Jesuit education—its history, its tradition, and its essential characteristics. It hopes to engage the participants to deepen their appreciation of the goals of our mission—as captured by the 4 Cs of Conscience, Competence, Compassion, and Commitment.

We use the 4 Cs a lot, but do we really understand what they mean? The workshop is designed to engender reflection on these defining features of Jesuit education and to strategize how to embed them more effectively not only in our academic and formation programs, but most especially in our school practices and culture as well.

Registration Fee: US$ 400 (to be paid when you check in on site).
