The Ignatian Initiative for Teaching Excellence (IGNITE) is now ready to offer the follow-up to our first Workshop on Ignatian School Leadership (WISL), “Nurturing the Contemplative-in-Action Within.” The second workshop will be held from April 17 to 21 in Tagaytay, Philippines at the Good Shepherd Religious Formation Center, Antipolo, Metro Manila, Philippines.

The second WISL will focus on Communal Discernment and Ignatian Decision Making– two areas that are crucial in the exercise of Ignatian school leadership. The workshop is quite timely especially since the recently concluded 36th General Congregation that elected the new Jesuit Superior General foregrounded communal discernment in its first decree.

Some of the questions that we hope to answer are:

* How can we engage one another in honest and meaningful conversations– both personal and professional–especially when there is potential friction or conflict?

* How can we practice Ignatian discernment in communal decision-making for the more essential questions that we face in running our schools?

This workshop has been designed for top- and middle-level school administrators who have attended the first WISL module on “Nurturing the Contemplative-in-Action Within.”

The team of facilitators includes Fr. Johnny Go, SJ and Ms. Eva Galvey of the Emmaus Center for Psycho-spiritual Formation (Ateneo de Manila University).

The workshop fee of US$250 will cover all expenses except travel.
